Big Garden Work Day

This was a big garden work day, and thankfully I had a whole little garden crew helping me.

My father-in-law built these beautiful cedar raised beds, while Jason and my mother-in-law helped me put up the cattle panel trellises and spread pine nugget mulch through the pathways.

I also ran string across two of the raised beds so I can use the square-foot gardening method, which is the way I usually like to organize my planting. I love seeing all those neat little sections ready and waiting.

By the end of the day, the garden was really starting to feel like a proper little growing space instead of a construction zone. I’m hoping to get everything planted this week.

And that evening sky over the beds felt like the garden giving us a quiet little blessing after all that work. 🌱
