Pickle Dish Pattern

 This block is from the Pickle Dish die by AccuQuilt. I had cut the pieces out years ago, back when I still lived in my old house, just to try the die. Somehow they waited patiently until now for me to finally sew them together.

And now I love it. I mean, I really love it.

The pinks, purples, and watercolor-style floral fabric make the whole block feel soft and painterly, almost like one of my watercolor pages wandered into the sewing room and became a quilt block.

The trouble is, I only had a few pieces of that floral fabric. It is from an older fabric line, and I haven’t been able to find more at a reasonable price, even on Etsy. I bought it at a quilt shop in Crossville several years ago, so I’m not even sure how old the print may be.

Still, I feel determined to track down enough for a few more blocks. Even four Pickle Dish blocks made into one large throw pillow would be absolutely beautiful.

Some fabrics are simply too good to let go without a proper little treasure hunt. 💗🪡
NOTE: I found the fabric line, it's called Modern Love! I'll be searching for more for sure
