Washed Shetland
I’m finally getting around to washing this Shetland fleece I bought last year, and it is every bit as lovely as I remembered.
Just look at all that crimp! It is so soft and springy, with so much beautiful texture already hiding in the locks. Shetland is one of my very favorite fibers to spin, so I’m already excited thinking about what this will become once it is clean, dry, and ready for the wheel.
There is something deeply satisfying about taking a fleece from this soft, woolly cloud stage and slowly turning it into yarn by hand.
I cannot wait to spin this one up. 🤍🐑
