Babydoll Southdown

 

This Babydoll Southdown fleece came home with me from the fiber festival last fall. It was grown at a farm only about an hour away, which makes it feel even more special.

It washed up so easily, and I’m planning to spin a little test sample this spring to see how it behaves.

One of my favorite parts of spinning is getting to try new breeds and discovering what each fleece wants to become. Every one has its own texture, bounce, softness, and personality hiding inside it.

I’m curious to see what this one has to say. 🐑🤎
