Winter Paintings

 Gosh, whoever thought birds would be easy to paint? Not me! I tried this little bluebird twice, and I’m still not completely happy with either one. Birds look so simple until you start trying to capture all those tiny feathers, shapes, and expressions.

Still, it was fun seeing how differently each one turned out. I have to admit, though, I love my husband’s painting the most. 💙

Here are a few of our paintings from this month. Looking at them all together, I guess I really do get into painting during the winter. Who knew? Hehe! There’s something cozy about sitting inside with watercolors while everything outdoors is quiet and cold.
