Winter Getaway
Every winter, usually sometime around January or Valentine’s Day, Jason and I escape to the mountains for a few quiet days away.
Jason loves to read, we play board games, cook something fabulous together, and mostly just rest and relax. Of course, I can’t sit still and do absolutely nothing for very long, so I usually bring along either my portable e-spinner or my watercolors.
This trip, the paints came with me. 🎨
I made a few bookmarks, painted the January page for the calendar I’m creating for next year, finished another snowy painting just for fun, and even made several little artist trading cards.
There is something extra cozy about painting at a table covered with palettes, brushes, scraps of paper, and little experiments while we’re tucked away in the mountains. A quiet winter retreat, good food, plenty of time together, and a happy creative mess. Fun, fun!.jpg)
