UFO 2025 List

Here it is! Every year, my guild organizes a UFO (Un-Finished Objects) group. We challenge each other to list our projects and provide updates throughout the year. For every completion, we earn an entry into a prize drawing at the end of the year. It’s a great way to stay motivated while encouraging others and serves as a helpful reminder of what we want to accomplish.

For me, this is shaping up to be the year of Bonnie Hunter quilts—half-completed ones, to be exact. Some are more than half done, and honestly, a few are almost finished. My struggle always comes during the holidays. Between Christmas and New Year’s, I get too busy to keep up. Every year, you can see on my list exactly where I fell behind on the mysteries.

When the New Year rolls around, I dive into all the New Year’s mystery quilts and sew-alongs, which means I push the older projects aside. The thing is, I love my Bonnie quilts! I adore their scrappiness and know they’ll be stunning when finished. Since 2018, I’ve started every one of her mystery quilts, but I’ve only managed to complete two! For a couple of them, I’ve finished all the clues—just not the assembly.

Then there are the projects that feel overwhelming when I pull them out. Sometimes, I can’t even remember exactly what step I left off on! Still, I’m excited to tackle these beautiful quilt tops and finally see them come together this year.

Here are the photos of my projects for the year—wish me luck!
