Week 4 Loom class
The final Week of my Rigid Heddle Loom class was this weekend. I was able to show off the project I made and get some very needed tips and tricks to learn more about using the pick-up sticks. I spent a good hour or two just going through all the books the owner had and I was able to ask questions and plan out my next projects with her.
This was so helpful since I now have plans to make a pillow using a honeycomb technique and then I thought something like a sampler scarf and some placemats will be after that. I also purchased 2 great books, one is full of ideas!
I still have my 1960s loom which is a 4 shaft loom that I need to learn and tackle, but that will be for another class in a couple months. For now, I'm going to secure what I've learned thus far with these new projects. I just love the Yellow and Blue contrasting colors in this dishtowel. I might make more to match.
All and all I am really excited and happy with all that I learned in this class! Can't wait to take another!
