Felting Fun! Eggs
It has been some time since I did any real felting projects and since I bought a few fleeces last year I have an ample amount of wool to choose from.
I picked some of the fiber from my dyed stash, and others I wanted to keep in their raw natural state adding only small bits of color if needed. Here are some fun easter eggs I decided to feel for this spring! The above bird in a nest is my absolute favorite. I used raw washed wool and tried to keep it as natural as possible. The only color that was added from roving was a tiny dot of blue around the eye and the orange is from Fiber I had naturally died last summer, from some Jacob's fleece I had purchased on a farm 45 minutes from me. This sits now in my china hutch. I love the organic-ness of this fluff!
This little ducky was fun too. These were made with wool again I purchased from a local shepherd and I dyed myself. I love the duckie, remained me of spring too and floating on the water. On the back side I made some grass and reeds and a cool sun I thought from that same orange I dyed last year.
