Quilt as you go!

My 1st attempt to quilt as you go.  I must say I rather enjoyed it. So much so it never really felt I was having to plan or put it aside at any one point while making it. Often with other projects I find myself wanting to do this or that or use another fabric,  pattern or craft altogether! 

I love how it is all quilted also with the piecing.  The hardest part was cutting out all the background fabric and batting as this quilt is made entirely of scraps.  Not only the 1 1/2 inch fabric strips. But the backing,  binding and batting are well. 

I can not wait to pop this beauty into the washer tomorrow to make it super snuggly and soft.  My only complaint is that I wish it were bigger.  Who knows,  I may just have to make another! I have a bazillion 2 and 2 1/2 inch strips to use.
