Beach Painting Days

While we were staying at our condo on Anna Maria Island, I spent some time painting right outside our room on the beach while trying out a new set of watercolor paints I had just gotten called Island Confetti.

The colors were so vibrant and cheerful, perfect for a seaside sketchbook day. They really do have some serious tint to them, and it was fun seeing how bold and lively they looked on the page.

Of course, painting outdoors by the beach came with its own little challenge. Between the heat and the wind, the water dried so quickly that it was hard to keep my paper wet enough to move the paint the way I wanted. Even so, it was such a lovely way to spend the day, sitting there with my paints, the ocean in front of me, and all those beautiful beach colors to play with.

Not a bad little painting spot at all. 🌊🎨
