Lamb 336

Lamb wool from a gulf coast native/Romney mix breed I bought from a farm an hour south of me.  It's one of 5 fleece I bought from there.  I'm not sure this little lamb's name but it's washed up so white and fluffy and so very soft.  I ended up with 28 ounces after I washed and dried it all,  so a good pound and 3/4.  I'm sure I will loose a little more after I card and spin it, but not much as this fleece was super clean! It's sooo soft I just want to spin this forever!

I might spin an ounce tonight and then dye it to see how it takes. I'm so torn on if I should spin the wool first then dye it.  Last year's wool I always dyed first.  

My hope is to tag each sheep better to document what I do for the future so I will be adding to the posts and updating a bit more often with photos and my thoughts as I go. I spun the 1 ounce before to see how it spun up and it was like a dream! So squish soft too!
