U F O number 4 this year

Finally,  one of the very 1st BOM (Block of the Month) I printed instructions for. I cut the pieces from old fabric and one 10 inch cake layer. This pattern is from designer Pat Sloans 2016 block of the month that year.  I think it was called floral bouquet.

When I first started quilting her monthly and weekly sew along, they are what started my real journey into this lovely hobby.  I believe I was wrapped up in other things so I cut all the pieces for each month's blocks into a zip lock bag and stapled it into that month's instructions.

I had finished only 3 blocks back then before I put it in the UFO stack. It is a good feeling to have one of my 1st UFO's now done! Well minus the quilting, I'm holding onto the flimsy top until I get my long arm quilter.
I had always hoped to get caught up from the 1st two I had done so many years ago,  but there they sat, cut and ready to be sewn.

I plugged away at the as my 4th UFO this year to be completed.  I feel accomplished to my goal to complete an old project every month,  and here I am still the 1st week of the 4th month and I am done! Yay me!
Not the prettiest quilt,  funny to see what I put together 6 to 7 years ago as I was still learning so much.  But done and it's going to quilt up wonderfully and be a great one to practice on when I get my long arm machine.
