Morty my first fleece and time dying

I purchased a raw Shetland sheep fleece this spring from a lovely lady in Wisconsin.  His name is Morty a 1st year Shetland who was sheared and then sent to me last week.  I've been picking some VM and starting washing it today finally after a week or rainy wet cooler temps.

Jason helped me build a screening station from some 1 by 2s and screen.  It was so pretty today,  sunny n 73. I was able to enjoy all afternoon outside and in washing n drying the wool,  then at 6 decided to get over my fear of dying and filled a pot full of about 9 ounces maybe 10 and played with the 3 primary colors.

I am letting it rest still,  it's suppose to get to room temperature before rinsing and that's the hard part because I'm so excited to see how it turned out. I am crossing my fingers it does not felt at all.
so wool really washed up white as snow.  I'll have to get a good photo of that.  This wool is so buttery soft and the crimp n curl is so cute. I hope I can dye some locks for projects too.. I still have a good 2 and half pounds to go!
